Williamstown Football Club is elated to be partnered with Wamarra for this year's Indigenous Round and beyond.

The Seagulls will this week unveil their 2021 Indigenous guernseys which are scheduled to be worn for this weekend's VFLW (Saturday June 5 vs Essendon) and VFL (Sunday June 6 vs Carlton) matches.

The round formally celebrates the impact of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the contributions to Australian football by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players, past and present, and how they continue to inspire generations of Australians.

Wamarra is an Indigenous-owned and operated Victorian-based civil contractor, providing meaningful long-term economic independence and career opportunities for Indigenous people and their communities, and we're proud to have them as a partner in 2021.

The visual symbols used in the Wamarra artwork express the story of people coming together to create a community that respects and acknowledges who we are and the journey we are on.

Wamarra is a part of Symal, who value the important role Victoria's Traditional Owners play in the future of our state and share in Wamarra's vision and passion to create real and sustainable opportunities for Indigenous people in the construction industry.

"Being based in the west, Wamarra has a commitment to strengthen community ties, which is what our Club is all about," Williamstown GM-Marketing and Commercial Scott Meager said.

"Our aligned core values means we have a great partner for our Indigenous Round for 2021 and into the future."

Some of the major projects Wamarra has worked on recently include: Werribee street level crossing, Sunshine hospital and North East Link.
