Accelerated Football Program up and running
Brought to you by Port of Melbourne
(Williamstown's Accelerated Football Program is back in full swing in 2021).
Williamstown is proud to be continuing its Accelerated Football Program, which has been enjoyed by local schools throughout 2021.
Our Club initially started the program in 2016 with Williamstown High School and now have expanded the program out to Bayside College (Williamstown Campus) with programs to year 7-9 for both boys and girls students. The Accelerated program runs weekly throughout the school year by Club Community Manager Andy Dandridge.
This program teaches the students key skills on and off the field that they can use to improve their football knowledge and leadership qualities.
This year, VFLW premiership-winning coach Penny Cula-Reid and several VFL and VFLW players will help deliver the program at local campus ovals.
Last Thursday, Williamstown High School students were taken through a range of hand ball, kicking and goal kicking drills.
