Emerging star Di Santo signs with the Seagulls
Williamstown Football Club has signed exciting youngster Danika Di Santo for the 2021 VFLW season.
Di Santo comes from Old Trinity in the VAFA and is an Under-18s Oakleigh Chargers graduate from 2019 - featuring in the NAB League on three occasions.
The 18-year-old promising football talent's skillset spreads far and wide, having achieved black belt in karate back in 2016.
VFLW senior coach Penny Cula-Reid said she is excited to see Di Santo’s development continue at the Seagulls.
“Danika and I have crossed paths a couple of times throughout her footballing journey, when she takes on feedback she is able to implement it straight away,” she said.
“At the ripe age of 18 and just graduated from high school, Danika is at the start of her state league career. Previously on Oakleigh Chargers’ Under-18 list, she has made the decision to put her football first and really give it a red hot crack.
“Danika has a competitiveness that brings the whole team’s physicality up a level, similar to the already-signed Ruby Tripodi. With the dynamic duo working closely together the future of our VFLW program is looking bright.”
