Nomination of directors
In accordance with the Williamstown Football Club (WFC) Constitution, the club advises that the closing date for nominations for the Board election is Thursday 14th November 2019.
It is the preference of the club that director nominees will have experience in dealing with not-for-profit organizations and a strong understanding and passion for football. Other desirable attributes include being open minded, a high level of curiosity and a willingness to challenge the status quo. Also, in line with Vicsport’s recommendation, WFC is seeking to increase the representation of women on its Board, and suitably qualified women are encouraged to apply.
As defined in the club constitution, all interested nominees must complete a nomination form (attached), signed by three proposing members, and certify that he/she has complied with the Director Eligibility Criteria. This form must be accompanied by a covering letter outlining the nominees' experience and credentials for the role.
Nominees must be prepared to be interviewed by the Independent Nominations Committee.
Nomination forms and any ancillary document must be received by the Club Secretary by 5:00 pm on the 14th November.
