Western Jets

The Western Jets have been our aligned TAC Cup team since 1996. There are 14 ex-Western Jets players on the 2018 Williamstown Football Club list. The clubs are closely linked off the field, sharing administration offices & services at Seagulls Nest, Newport. On-field, the Western Jets play their home games at Williamstown Football Ground. The coaches of each team are closely connected and support Western Jets key players in giving them VFL and VFLW 23rd player opportunities.

Western Jets Youth Girls Academy

Williamstown Football Club is proud to be affiliated and supporting the Western Jets Youth Girls Academy. The Club financed footballs for each of the girls taking part in the Academy and will continue to support the girls throughout the years to come.

Williamstown Football Club has been a proud financial sponsor of the Western Region Football League for the past three seasons as well as hosting WRFL functions at Seaview Williamstown Events Centre and providing Williamstown Football Ground for WRFL finals and interleague training.

Local Football Clubs

The club supports all the local football clubs in the Hobsons Bay area such as Altona Juniors, Newport Power Juniors, Spotswood Juniors and Williamstown Juniors and Laverton Juniors, not only through annual financial contributions, but also having players from these clubs play in halftime grid games at Williamstown Football Ground on home match days. Nominated players from each junior club are also awarded free Speccie memberships on behalf of the club.

With the removal of the AFL Development League, Williamstown Football Club have attempted to make our connection stronger with all the WRFL local clubs to keep close eye on our whole playing list. With many senior players playing in local football leagues from week to week, we now provide a closer personal connection between both coaching groups.

Not only do players and coaches visit these centres for clinics during the year, but also offer the opportunity for these centres to take part in halftime grid games during our home VFL matches at Williamstown Football Club, as well as offering financial support each season. The club in 2018 also offers free NAB footballs and free Speccie memberships to selected kids.
