Future of state league competitions

As requirement of the AFL’s due process, Williamstown has submitted its Expression of Interest (EOI) to field teams in both the VFL and VFLW competitions for season 2021.

The VFL/Eastern Seaboard men’s state league competition will have a new look next year with AFL clubs and stand-alone teams from NSW and Queensland who previously competed in the North East AFL (NEAFL) competition, invited to join the existing VFL and AFL clubs.

The AFL will assess all EOI’s and finalise the composition of teams in these competitions in the second week of October.

We look forward to confirming our position with our members and supporters in the new look competitions shortly.
