Seagulls hold annual Sponsors Night

Williamstown Football Club said thank you to its many fabulous sponsors last Wednesday night at its annual Sponsors Night held at Seaview Events Centre.

The club's valued sponsors, players and staff mingled whilst enjoying the complimentary food and beverages available throughout the night.

Williamstown FC CEO Jason Reddick MC'd the event, calling upon current VFL and VFLW coaches Andrew Collins and Amy Catterall, as well as interviewing key sponsor Matt Wilson from Titan Plumbing Services and special guest speaker of the night, former footballer Steve Wallis.

Both Collins and Catterall addressed the room regarding their respective sides' 2019 seasons to date, whist also acknowledging the importance of having wonderful support from club and player sponsors and the far and wide impact they have on the day-to-day runnings of the club.

Wallis played 261 games and kicked 57 goals for the Footscray Bulldogs across a decorated 14-season career and was a Victorian representative on three occasions. His son, Mitch, currently plays for the Western Bulldogs in the AFL.

Reddick conducted an entertaining interview with Steve - who took to the stage to enlighten the room with an insight into his illustrious football journey.

Wallis also spoke of life after footy and the importance of finding that crucial work-football balance. Whilst doing so, Wallis couldn't stress to the on-looking players any more the importance of networking and building contacts during their football careers to help make that transition to life after football more seamless.

The Williamstown Football Club would like to once again thank all of its wonderful sponsors for all of their continued support of the Seagulls.
