Strong performances mount selection pressure in our Community Wrap

(Kayla Koropeckyj in action for the Spotswood)

We had eight women's players continue their season at their respective local clubs with strong performances put in by all eight; let’s see how they went.

We start in the Western Region where Caroline Hardeman put in a good performance and Kayla Koropeckyj kicked a goal as Spotswood continued their undefeated start to the season with a comfortable 96-point win over West Footscray. Madison-Eve Fenech put in a best-on-ground performance for Caroline Springs as their 32-point win over Point Cook Centrals takes them to equal top along with Spotswood.

To the Northern League where Kaitlin Smith was 3rd best for Diamond Creek, as they suffered a one-goal loss to Darebin. In VAFA action, Ruby Tripodi continued her good run of form with a best-on-ground performance in Williamstown CYMS’ 21-point win over Westbourne to move the CY’s into 3rd position whilst in the South East League, Sabrine Navarro kicked two goals as she helped Port Melbourne to a comfortable 47-point win over Bass Coast.

In AFL Goldfields results, Jamilla Cranny was 4th best and Jedda Heard four goals and was 5th best as Redan easily accounted for East Point by 35 points to continue their dominant start to the season.
