Catterall re-signs for 2019 season

The Williamstown Football Club can announce that VFLW Senior Coach Amy Catterall has been reappointed for the 2019 season.

After a strong finish to last season Catterall says she can’t wait for next season already.

“I’m excited to continue on this journey with a great bunch of players.”

“We finished last season really strongly and I can’t wait to see where this group is headed.”

Our VFLW Seagulls finished the season with four wins, which included three straight wins to finish the season.

In further news Troy Newton has been appointed to the Senior Assistant Coaching role for our VFLW team in 2019.

Newton came to the club midway through last season as a midfield coach and says he's thrilled to be back for a second season.

“After coming on board in the second half of the season, I’m really looking forward to season 2019 and working closely with Amy and the playing group.”

“It’s amazing the genuine care the players have built for one another and the Club in such a short period of time, the players are so determined and driven to succeed. For me it’s exciting to have the opportunity to be a part of that.”

CEO Jason Reddick said the Club was excited with the reappointment of Amy.

“Our first season in the VFLW was always going to be a challenge and as a Club we learnt some invaluable knowledge as we look to enhance our program going into our second season under Amy’s leadership”.

“Having stability in our Senior Coaching role was a very important plank to ensure our continued growth both on and off the field heading into our second season”.
