Wheeler elected to Williamstown Football Club board
Last night the Williamstown Football Club held its Annual General Meeting at the Seaview Williamstown Events Centre.
Among the business conducted at the meeting was the election of Williamstown Hall of Famer, Terry Wheeler, to the board of Directors.
Wheeler's name is synonymous with the Williamstown Football Club, leading them to the 1986 VFA premiership as a playing captain/coach and playing 94 games in the blue and gold from 1984-1988.
A Williamstown resident, Wheeler has continued to show his support and passion for the club since his playing days and will bring a wealth of football and sports administration experience to the club. He will also follow in the footsteps of great friends and fellow Williamstown greats Barry Round and Ian Rickman, who have both been on the board of directors at some stage.
Wheeler replaces Graham Bird, who has decided to step down after being a Director of the Williamstown Football Club since 1997.
President Trevor Monti, Treasurer Michael Howlett and Directors Ray Moloney, Fred Hall, Grant Dooley, Brent Szalay and Conrad Taylor all remain.
