Key Leaders amongst re-signings

Williamstown Football Club is pleased to announce that Ben Jolley, Sam Dunell, Peter Faulks & Adam Marcon are amongst a large group of players who have committed their future to the Club for the 2016 season and beyond. The four leaders headline the list of players who have put pen to paper in recent weeks, as the team embarks on a second straight final series as a newly formed standalone Club.

Captain Ben Jolley has committed to a new two year deal that will see him push closer towards becoming the Club’s games record holder, as he edges closer to the 208 game mark currently held by Troy West.

“I’m delighted to re-commit to the Club for another couple of years. Williamstown has always been a great Club and I’m excited about the direction the Club is taking.” Jolley said.

“We have an exciting group of players that I believe can achieve great success and I’m rapt to be a part of it.”

Williamstown Football Manager Chris Dixon stated that the Club’s priority is to retain the majority of the playing group going forward, and the response from the players so far has been extremely positive.

“It’s been great to receive such a positive response from the players with many of them extremely bullish about what this group can achieve both this season and beyond. We feel we have a great mix of both established and emerging younger players and it’s been fantastic that so many of them have already signed on at the Club. “
